Pocherong Manok
Ingredients: Saute the garlic, onion, and tomatoes. Add water, chicken, peppercorns and salt. Bring to a boil and cook until chicken is tender. Add the chick peas, sweet potatoes, and bananas. Cook until the sweet potatoes are done. Add the cabbage and the bok choy. Stir. Cover the pot. Simmer for five to ten minutes. Serve hot. Makes approximately 4 servings.2 - 3 lbs chicken, cubed

salt to taste
2 saba bananas, ripe and sliced to an inch (can be substituted with plantain)
2 small sweet potatoes, peeled and quartered
½ small green cabbage, quartered
1 small bunch bok choy (Chinese cabbage), cut into two-inch slices
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 clove garlic, crushed
1 small onion, diced
2 tomatoes, cubed
8 cups water
8 oz. chick peas
